Alljährlich zu Mariä Himmelfahrt am 15. August pilgern Hunderttausende zur Schwarzen Madonna von Tschenstochau. Sie spielt eine zentrale Rolle in der religiösen Kultur und dem Nationalbewusstsein der Polen.
